Aurora Alumni Association Celebrates 2026 Hall of Fame Inductees

AURORA, Ohio — The Aurora Alumni Association honored four distinguished alumni and past educators (or staff members) during its 2026 Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony on September 19, 2026 at the Aurora Inn. The 2026 inductees are: Dr. Jacob Calcei, Class of 2005, Distinguished Alumni Hall of Fame Dick Doughman, Athletic Coach Hall of Fame Adam Bellamy, Class of 2009, Athletic Hall of Fame Dave Kotora, Class of 1994, Athletic Hall of Fame The ceremony recognized the inductees’ exceptional contributions to their professions, Aurora High School athletics, and the Aurora community. Dr. Jacob Calcei was inducted into the Distinguished Alumni Hall of Fame in recognition of his accomplished career in orthopedic medicine and his continuing commitment to service. A 2005 Aurora High School graduate, Dr. Calcei has built a respected career as an orthopedic surgeon while remaining active in civic and community organizations. Dick Doughman was honored in the Coach Hall of Fame for his decades of dedication to Aurora student athletes. Known for his commitment to teaching, mentorship, integrity, and the development of young people, Doughman’s coaching legacy has extended well beyond wins and losses. Adam Bellamy, a member of the Aurora High School Class of 2009, was inducted into the Athletic Hall of Fame, posthumously, for his outstanding football career. Bellamy earned significant recognition as a student athlete, including All Ohio honors, and continued his football career at the collegiate level at The Ohio State University. Dave Kotora, Class of 1994, was also inducted into the Athletic Hall of Fame. A standout two sport athlete at Aurora High School, Kotora excelled in football and wrestling before continuing his athletic career at the Kent State University.
