Aurora businesses will roll out the red carpet on Saturday, August 1, as the city and the Aurora Chamber of Commerce team up for the Business Birthday Tour. How the Tour Works The event is part of the City of Aurora's America 250: Party at the Park series. Participants will receive a map of official tour stops and can visit locations between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. to collect stamps. Each stop will feature a giveaway, special sale, or activity chosen by the participating business. Guests who visit a set number of locations become eligible for a grand prize basket built from items donated by participating businesses. Getting Involved Businesses interested in taking part were asked to register by July 1 at allaboutaurora.com. Participating stops are expected to plan for roughly 150 visitors and were encouraged to decorate with birthday themed or patriotic touches. Grand prize donations valued at $20 or more were due by July 24. The tour runs from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. overall and is designed to bring new customers to Aurora storefronts while giving the community a festive way to mark the nation's 250th birthday.
