Community Legacy of the Aurora Fourth of July Parade Grand Marshal The City of Aurora selected lifelong resident Barb Kudley to lead the procession as the official Grand Marshal. Kudley served the community for decades as a dedicated elementary librarian within the Aurora City Schools system, where she inspired generations of local students to develop a lifelong love of reading. Beyond her professional career in education, Kudley has remained deeply embedded in Northeast Ohio civic life through her active volunteerism with numerous community organizations. Local Health Advocacy Honored at the Aurora Fourth of July Parade In addition to her educational legacy, Kudley’s selection honors her resilience and advocacy as a two-time cancer survivor. Notably, she played a pivotal role in expanding regional healthcare support by helping to bring the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life event directly to Aurora. Kudley stated that she is deeply honored to serve as Grand Marshal and to represent the community that she has passionately supported throughout her life.
