Community Invited to Memorial Ruck in Remembrance at Sunny Lake Park
Community Walk Honors Fallen Service Members While Supporting Local Youth Programs

“Walk a lap to honor our fallen heroes” Hosted by American Legion Post 803, the Ruck in Remembrance will take place Saturday May 23rd at 8am at Sunny Lake Park (Boathouse Pavilion). The event is free and open to the public. Donations collected will benefit American Legion local youth programs.Participants will ruck or walk a lap around the park in honor of those we have lost. Community members of all ages and fitness levels are encouraged to attend. Some participants will carry weighted packs in the spirit of a traditional ruck march, while others may simply walk a lap to show their support.The event aims to foster fellowship, reflection, and community connection to Aurora’s veterans.
